Lingerie Care Tips
Lingerie care begins with how you wash it. Always prefer hand-washing with a mild detergent, especially for bras and delicate fabrics like lace or satin. Avoid harsh chemicals and strong scrubbing — they weaken elastic and damage fabric. If you must use a washing machine, place your lingerie in a mesh laundry bag and select a gentle cycle with cold water.
Drying is where most damage happens. Never wring or twist lingerie to remove water, as this ruins shape and elasticity. Instead, gently press out excess water with a towel and lay items flat to air-dry. Avoid direct sunlight and never use a dryer — heat is the silent enemy of bras and elastic wear.
Storing lingerie properly is just as important as washing it. Do not fold padded bras in half or tuck one cup into the other, as this distorts their shape over time. Stack them neatly or store them flat. For panties and bralettes, keep them in a clean, dry drawer with enough space to breathe.
Lastly, remember that lingerie needs rest. Rotating your bras allows the elastic to recover and keeps them supportive for longer. Wearing the same bra every day shortens its life quickly. Treat your lingerie with patience and respect — when cared for well, it supports you quietly, comfortably, and faithfully every single day.
